The quality of life of the population is a cornerstone of the country’s progress into the future. Good health, quality education plus capacity to earn are essential for sustainability. Poverty issues have increased due to difficult times that include pandemic, war, global climate change and economic conditions. Hunger and malnutrition, loss of jobs, escalating prices have brought misery and difficulties to our people, especially the vulnerable marginalized sector. UN Millennium Development Goal puts poverty, hunger and malnutrition on top of the list needing resolution.

Kabisig ng Kalahi is committed to contribute to addressing these very important issues in partnership with both public and private sector for collaborative work. Since KnK’s inception in August 2001, sustainable programs have been implemented to targeted communities nationwide. Successful results have been consistent and documented by participating agencies and very supportive local government units. Kabisig ng Kalahi has not only reached a million or more beneficiaries but have shared good practices with other organization and assisted in establishing their own programs with the purpose of a wider reach and genuine nation building effort.
